I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Computational Learning Laboratory, CSLI, Stanford University. I am also affiliated with the Institute for the Study of Learning and Expertise (ISLE). I am currently working on Transfer Learning and Integrated Learning projects. In Transfer Learning, our goal is to understand how knowledge acquired in one task can be used to improve learning and performance in a different but similar task. In Integrated Learning project, we investigate learning general plans or processes through integration of multiple systems such as a planning component or learning components that use human generated traces as main input.

I have completed my Ph.D. at the University of Michigan in December 2006. During my dissertation research, I worked with my advisor John Laird on automatically creating AI agent programs by observing experts. Our approach involves interpreting observed expert behavior in the context of multiple complex knowledge sources to better model the internal reasoning of the expert.

My major area of interest is machine learning in knowledge-rich domains where multiple knowledge sources are integrated in a relational machine learning framework such as Inductive Logic Programming (ILP). (See more on my research page below)
